Peter Bruce was born and grew up in Toronto, but has lived and worked in Regina since 1981. Peter worked for 37 years at Saskatchewan Telecommunications, a provincial Crown corporation and leading provider of communications services in Saskatchewan. Peter initially worked as a technician but later changed fields and became a technical writer producing both internal and external corporate communication.
Educated at the University of Toronto and the University of Regina in European and Canadian history, Peter is an avid reader of history and political science and an amateur historian. He is a Canadian patriot who loves his country and embraces this land and its history in all of its breadth and splendour, as well as its pain.
Peter is active in local theatre and volunteers in the community in many capacities. He has been an active member of the People’s Party of Canada since 2019. He supports their message and platform because he believes Canadians have become too comfortable living with dangerous untruths, and the PPC is the only political party bold enough to talk about the uncomfortable truths that our countrymen must hear. Central to those truths is the reality that big government is bankrupting our country.
Not only fiscally by overspending, but also spiritually by undermining sound values like thrift, trust and deferred gratification as well as the self-confidence of a people who are growing too used to being looked after by government. Too many of us happily acquiesce to the erosion of our rights and freedoms while vilifying fellow Canadians who still dare to insist on living as free individuals not answerable to “the accepted wisdom” of government and legacy media.
Peter aims to fight that!
