Edward (Eddie) Cornell MB. CD. is a decorated veteran who served in the Canadian Armed Forces as an artilleryman from 1975-1994 and 2009-2013, earning the Medal of Bravery for his service in Cyprus. Following his military career and roles with the OPP and Chrysler, he emerged as a prominent advocate for civil liberties during the trucker convoy protests.
As co-founder of Veterans for Freedom, Eddie has taken a stand against government overreach, notably serving as one of two successful litigants in the Federal Court challenge that found the government's use of the Emergencies Act and account freezing measures to be ultra vires. His commitment to defending Canadians' rights and freedoms combines his military leadership experience with passionate advocacy for constitutional rights and civil liberties.
