Taylor was born and raised in Calgary. He studied Economics at the University of Victoria, then settled in Vancouver after graduating. Taylor believes that the most empowering concept of the digital age is open source. Open computing - Linux, open networking - Tor, and open money - Bitcoin are all digital personal autonomy. They are an important democratic alternative to the centralized surveillance and manipulation technologies more popular today. Taylor enjoys coffee, poutine, croissants, running in the rain, swimming in the ocean and yoga everyday.
