Steven grew up in Peterborough, Ontario but enrolled at Acadia University in 2017 to study History and Canadian Studies. Throughout University, Steven has had the opportunity to engage and learn from his professors in areas of Canadian culture, global history and domestic policy. Growing up, Steven played many sports and he eventually got to play on the Acadia Men’s Basketball team for a year.

Working with youth has been one of Steven’s passions in life and is why he is also interested in teaching. He also has experience working in various types of businesses such as restaurants, lumber yards and is currently working at a local museum, where he is able to study and promote Canadian history and cultural identity.Steven has also had experience in the coverage of national politics through his volunteer work with ‘The Compass Forum’ in which he was directed to stay up to date on current events both national and international. While with the Compass Forum he authored four publications. They covered Canada’s space industry, agriculture industry, and the People's Party of Canada.
