DON VALLEY NORTHJay Sobel
Jay Sobel is an award-winning Professional Industrial Designer, Design Educator, and retired Lacrosse Player and Coach. He graduated “With Distinction” from the Faculty of Engineering at Carleton University in Ottawa; and from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biological Sciences. Jay has 30 years of leadership experience championing “end-user needs”, addressing human factors concerns, and creating patented products in the telecommunications, defense, personal protective equipment, health care, pet care and sporting goods industries. Ventures in these fields have led to the development of a bevy of successful products that have helped populations across the globe to: live safely and securely; communicate efficiently; play with joy; and experience an improved quality of life. For a second consecutive federal election, Jay will focus his award-winning “Human - Centric” approach to problem solving on behalf of the constituents of Don Valley North as a Candidate for the People's Party of Canada. Jay and his wife Ching Na are residents of Don Valley North, where Jay has lived for 38 of the past 54 years.
