Mark Hecht is a Canadian writer and former university instructor. He obtained degrees from the University of Victoria and University of Manitoba. Hecht worked with the Nature Trust of BC prior to a decade-long teaching career at Mount Royal University. As a writer, his published work can be found in Areo Magazine, Merion West and elsewhere. He currently owns an education company and lives in Saanich, British Columbia.
