Jennifer Dawn Mary Peace born in Hamilton, Ontario. After high school, she enrolled in the Personal Support Worker (PSW) program as a stepping stone into nursing and graduated in 2000. Jennifer worked as a PSW in a variety of healthcare settings, while travelling and taking courses at McMaster University. Jennifer owned her own business from 2004-2010 where she took care of accident victims with complex brain injuries and orthopaedic/spinal injuries. In 2012, Jennifer applied for the PN program at Niagara College, while working 3 jobs. After completion, Jennifer worked for Niagara Region in Geriatrics and Hamilton Health Sciences on the Ortho and Medicine Unit. In 2013, Jennifer relocated to Edmonton, Alberta where she successfully completed the Perioperative Program at Grant McEwan University and Bow Valley College Immunization Course. Jennifer is currently working as a Perioperative Technician LPN at the University of Alberta in the adult operating rooms. In 2017, Jennifer joined the CLPNA as a Council Member until April 2021. Jennifer was re-elected for another term 2021-2024. Also in 2017, Jennifer joined the Rita McGregor and Pat Fredrickson Foundation as a committee member.
In Jennifer’s free time, she plays the clarinet, sings in a choir for the Cosmopolitan Music Society and paints with acrylic and resin. Jennifer is most proud of her humanitarian work and work on the council. In 2019 and 2020, with a team of doctors and nurses, Jennifer went to Bolivia and supported a chicken project, set up a water well with indigenous people, and provided healthcare procedures to vulnerable populations.
