Hamilton West—Ancaster—DundasDean Woods

Dean Woods was born and raised in small town Orangeville, Ontario. He is 1 of 6 children to retired Chief Helicopter pilot James Woods, whose career spanned across many corporations such as Hydro One, Ornge and the OPP.  His mother Barbara (deceased), was a loving stay at home parent who offered her unconditional love and support for her children.

Dean grew up playing rep hockey and was tasked with the daunting position as goalie for the Town of Orangeville. Dean always had a love for outdoor activities, and you can still catch him biking, hiking, kayaking, ice skating or skiing down the slopes on any given winter day. He is well known for promoting and encouraging good health, wellness and fitness as a daily requirement within his circle of family and friends.

Dean is also an accomplished classically trained guitarist and a mighty fine lead guitarist to boot. He has played semi-professional for many years and previously taught the art of guitar to a countless number of adults and children alike.

Dean attended the University of Waterloo, Georgian College and many IT technical training schools with a core focus in Management and Information Technology. His career has only blossomed in growth with key management positions held in Manufacturing, and then switching to IT Management roles within the Sales, Distribution and Health Care Sectors. His positive, inspiring and encouraging style of leadership has led his teams to many successful key deliverables with a core focus on time, scope and budget with the end goal delivering customer satisfaction.
