Long Range MountainsDarrell Shelley

Diplomat, business owner, entrepreneur and community organizer Darrell has employed hundreds of people through his event staffing company Mighty Mouse Staffing which has helped to build some of the largest and most prestigious events in Toronto and Southern Ontario. He is a small business owner and supports freedom of choice and freedom of speech. He is well travelled and has lived in France and speaks both official languages. Darrell created The Scene Magazine while living in Toronto overseeing 50+ freelance journalists creating 5000 articles over a decade. He has worked with festivals and artists big and small and fostered the growth of independent musicians and supported the arts community for years. He is a graduate of the College of the North Atlantic and Saint Francis Xavier University.

Darrell was born in Labrador and raised in Stephenville Newfoundland where he graduated St. Stephen’s High in 1998. Darrell moved back home last year and he brings a wealth of knowledge to the Long Range Mountains region and would like to see more jobs, better health care and better economic solutions for all who live in this beautiful region. He is gravely concerned about the direction in which Canada is currently headed. He and his wife Joanne currently live in Stephenville with their four miniature poodles. This is his first time running for federal office.
