I graduated from the Université de Montréal in Literature with a focus on French Studies. In addition, I completed collegiate studies in Electrotechnics—Electrodynamics option—and in Pure Sciences. Over my thirty-three-year career at Hydro-Québec, I held various technical, managerial, and organizational positions. I am also a seasoned writer, having produced over fifty short stories, five plays, four novels, three major essays, and several articles with a political or satirical tone. I am a versatile individual who has developed a keen critical mind, a quality that is essential in a world undergoing profound transformation.
I am committed to working toward making Canada a renewed country, far removed from the ideologies that currently pervade the public sphere. In my view, identity and difference are essential characteristics in building a robust society:
“Human plurality, the fundamental condition of action and speech, has the dual characteristic of equality and distinction. If human beings were not equal, they would not be able to understand one another, nor understand those who came before them, nor prepare a future for those who will follow. If human beings were not distinct—each one differing from every other, whether present, past, or future—they would have no need of speech or action to make themselves understood. Mere signs and sounds would suffice to communicate immediate, identical desires and needs.”
